6. Right of Withdrawal

A member has the right to cancel a contract concluded in the online shop within 14 days without giving reasons. To exercise their right of cancellation, they must inform the IS3R (office@is3r.org) by means of an unmistakable declaration of their decision to cancel a contract concluded in the online shop. The IS3R will refund all payments received from the member without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the date on which the notice of cancellation of the contract by the member is received by the IS3R. If a member cancels a contract concluded in the online shop, he must contact the IS3R office (office@is3r.org) to agree on another method of payment for the membership dues. Failure to pay the membership dues may result in cancellation of the active membership by the IS3R Executive Board (cf. Sections 4.4 and 6 of the IS3R bylaws). According to the IS3R bylaws, a voluntary withdrawal of membership is possible at any time and must be announced in writing to the Executive Board at least one month prior the end of the calendar year. If the notification is delayed, it will only become effective with the next following term of withdrawal.

8. Data protection

To process the payment of membership fees, members are required to submit personal information specific to the payment, such as but not limited to credit card numbers. This is in addition to the personal data collected in relation to their society membership and activities (i.e. name, profession, contact details). The IS3R treats members’ personal details in strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679. If the IS3R wishes to collect and use data in any other way, the society will ask members’ express permission at the point of collection.
